The Space-Compax is the "diving" Version of the Compax family. The watch was designed for aquatic sports and therefore waterproof up to 750 feet. Further, the Space-Compax were supposedly one of the models considered by NASA to operate in space, an award that would eventually go to Omega Seemaster.

It is generally reported that two versions of the Space-Compax were produced, commonly referred to as first and second generations. Our Space-Compax has the reverse panda dial and the big "12" matching the first generation (MK1). The very bonus of this example is it's overall condition. The dial is absolutely mint and free of imperfections. The asymetrical case still shows sharp edges and appears nearly unpolished. The reference and serial number on the caseback are still visible and deep. The original lume in the dots and hands (hour, minute and chrono sub-dial) remains intact and shines wonderfully. The bezel is almost perfect with minimal scratches from wear. The Space-Compax is often offered with service pushers, as it’s quite difficult to find this reference with original ones, especially in a good condition. Our Space-Compax has the original black rubber pushers. And their condition is excellent. The original crown is embossed with the brand's "U" symbol.

Another fact, that makes this watch sought after: it's powered by the beloved and highly reliable Valjoux 72 movement (Universal Genève 85). The watch is in excellent condition and one of the nicest examples of a MK1 on the market.
