This Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox E855 in 18ct Gold Case features one of the rarest Memovox dials. Being called "brownie" or "wood-dial", this vintage watch charms with its brown mahogany color and beautiful gold elements. The Memovox has an alarm complication and dates from 1969.

The magical dial gives the watch a very noble and elegant appearance. The combination of the golden color and the brown surface is very luxurious. The hands and hour markers are made of gold. The small triangular pointer on the red inner ring indicates the alarm time. The alarm can be set with the upper crown. The lower crown is used to wind the movement and to set the time. Both crowns show the Jaeger LeCoultre logo.

The massive 18ct yellow gold case is in great condition. The engraving of the serial number on the compressor caseback is still clearly legible. The diameter of 37mm looks even bigger due to the thin bezel.

The heart of this Memovox is the automatic movement K825 by Jaeger LeCoultre. All functions have been checked and run smoothly. The watch comes with a dark brown leather strap matching the dial perfectly and a 18ct yellow gold clasp.

This watch is hard to find on the market. According to experts, the reference E855 was made for a maximum of 2 years. It is not only one of the most extraordinary Memovox designs, but also one of the most extraordinary vintage watches at all. A striking vintage wristwatch with a huge potential.
