Here we offer you a vintage Breitling Navitimer 806. The Breitling Navitimer is the most legendary pilot's watch. The Reference 806 was the first version with a black dial and is now in great demand among vintage collectors. Introduced in 1952 the Navitimer was a useful tool for pilots. They could calculate kilometers, miles and nautical miles from the slide rule bezel.

This particular Breitling Navitimer 806 was originally made for the US market. The watch is double signed with the US importer Crossroads Watch Co. The company name is engraved on the movement bridge as well as on the inside of the case back cover. Furthermore, the movement is signed with the correct import code "UZO". That makes this watch even more rare and special.

The dial and the sub dials are black and therefore this model is called "All-Black". The later models had white sub-dials. The dial has been preserved in excellent condition. The inscription NAVITIMER at 6 o'clock is completely intact, which is a rarity with the 1950s Navitimer. The luminous material in the numbers is beautifully aged to an absolutely evenly distributed patina. At 12 o'clock, the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) emblem (the typical double-wing logo) is attached.

The stainless-steel case has retained its original, thick profile and is in a collector's desired condition with little signs of wear, but unpolished. The winding crown shows the Breitling logo.

The driving force of the Navitimer is the movement Venus 178, which was considered very innovative in the 1950s. All functions have been checked and run flawlessly.

Inspired by the vintage models of the 50s and 60s, the Navitimer is still being manufactured and its popularity is enormous. However, for vintage lovers, the original is always more interesting than the re-edition. The demand for vintage Breitling watches is increasing constantly.
