The most popular wristwatch with a 24-hour display is the Rolex GMT-Master, which was also presented in the 1950s. The Breitling Unitime World-Timer also has its roots in the 1950s.
Here we offer you the first execution of the reference 1-260. This wristwatch has an adorable vintage look. The silver dial features a mirrored world map in the middle. The flat stainless steel case measures 37 mm and sits very comfortably on the wrist.
The inner 24-hour ring rotates synchronously with the hands. The rotating bezel shows 24 cities around the world each representing a time zone. By aligning your current location and the time on the inner 24-hour ring, you can read the time in other 23 time zones on the same 24-hour inner ring. In addition, the Breitling Unitime has a date aperture at 3 o'clock with red numbers.
Overall, this Breitling Unitime is in great condition. If you look at the watch, the silver dial looks very clean. Under the magnifying glass you can see some aging spots that are evenly distributed and make this 60-year-old Breitling very honest and authentic. The timezone ring has some worn areas, but all cities are clearly legible. The case has no scratches worth mentioning. The centerpiece of this Breitling Unitime is the automatic Felsa 711 caliber.
Most Breitling 1-260s came with a gold case. In contrast the steel version of the Breitling Unitime is one of Breitling's rarest and most sought-after vintage watches.
