Description
The brand “LeCoultre“ was founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833. In 1903 the company formed a working relationship with the Parisian enterprise of Edmond Jaeger. Thanks to a merger of Jaeger and LeCoultre in the late 1930s a new watch brand with great history was born. The Polaris II was manufactured between 1970 and 1972. Only 1120 pieces were produced and make this model very rare. Models that were supplied to the US have the letters HPG (High Precision Guarantee) written on the dial.

The overall condition of this LeCoultre Memovox Polaris II is like NOS. The beautiful ocean blue dial is eye-popping and catches the attention of watch enthusiasts immediately. The color gradation of the stunning blue of the dial is formidable. The dial has a date at 3 o’clock, a sweep center second and a rotating disc for the alarm. The 100% original lume is still present and shines nicely in the dark. The lume has a beautiful white color in the markers and a creamy color in the hands and the triangle. The flawless azure blue bezel is in mint condition. The big 44mm stainless steel case in its minty condition is a real stunner. The screw down case back is in perfect condition. The two original crowns are signed with the “JL“ Logo. The watch is powered by the automatic movement caliber 916 with 17 jewels.

The funky ocean blue color of the dial is an absolute eye-catcher. The rarity and the almost NOS condition make the Polaris II highly sought after by watch collectors.
