This is one of the finest and most impressive first series Heuer Autavia 2446 we saw in the past 10 years. The first owner of this watch was the organizer of the "Atlantic Rally 1968" from Bermuda to Travemünde. He got the watch from the participants as a gift in a special engraved silver box.

This Heuer 2446 is housed in the first execution screw-back case, which can be identified by the wide bezel insert, which was narrower on the second execution case. The dial is the second execution with smaller sub-dials and dauphine hands.

Most examples of this model have slight hairline cracks on the sub-dials. But this Autavia 2446 has preserved in an excellent condition. Both the matte black surface and the white sub-dials are free of any cracks or scratches.

It is undisputed that this Autavia has a vintage look. This is especially ensured by the tropical bezel with its wonderful brown color. Furthermore, the lume dots and dauphine hands have the same creamy color, which points out the vintage character.

The stainless steel case is unpolished and has a thick profile with sharp edges. The engravings on the caseback and the numbers between the lugs are still clearly readable. The big Heuer crown is signed with the Heuer logo.

The leather strap matches perfectly the brown color of the tropical bezel and looks beautiful on this watch. The Autavia comes with the Heuer blank papers and the engraved silver gift box.
