Universal Genève Compax 885108 Blue Exotic Nina

Due to its unusual design, this chronograph's nickname is "Exotic". Also known as "Blue Exotic Nina", Universal Genève Compax 885108 is the colorful sister of the famous "Nina Rindt" model.

An important info for vintage collectors: the 7-digit serial numbers of all known examples of the Blue Exotic Nina start with 289, as is the case with this watch. This should be paid attention to when buying this model.

The reference 885108 is gaining more and more attention of vintage collectors not only because of its attractive design, but also to its rarity. Less than 20 pieces of the Blue Exotic Nina are known to exist.

Here you see an example that is even rarer due to its great condition. An extremely important feature are the legible numbers on the caseback. These are often no longer visible due to polishing. On this watch, the engraving of the serial and reference numbers is deep and clearly legible. The blue Bakelite bezel is absolutely perfectly preserved. The dark blue bezel color is usually found on the Exotic Nina with silver base color. In rare cases, you can see this bezel in the combination with the dark blue dial, like with the present specimen. The original watch crystal still bears the small UG logo in the center.

Movement: manual winding caliber Valjoux 72 - chronograph starts, stops and resets flawlessly - rates: rate deviation: -6s/day, amplitude: 317, beat error: 0.3 - service not necessary.
