In the middle of the 20th century, Heuer has become famous mainly for its motorsport and aviation chronographs. However, there were also Heuer yachting chronos designed specifically for regatta racing. These had a clear visualized countdown of the time remaining before the start of the regatta. The first models of a Heuer Regatta, then called the Heuer Aquastar Regatta, were released in the early 1960s.

In 1983, Heuer introduced the robust Heuer Regatta with the references 134.60x. For this model line, Heuer used an Autavia-style stainless steel case with a PVD coating in three different colors: black (Ref. 134.601), olive green (Ref. 134.602) and gray (Ref. 134.063). It came on a matching PVD stainless steel bracelet with a safety clasp. This Regatta is powered by the Lemania 1345 movement with the colored disc code display for the regatta countdown.

The olive green case color gives this Heuer Regatta 134.062 a cool military look. The orange hand contrasts nicely with the green dial.

However, the special feature of this watch is its preserved condition. The relatively vulnerable PVD coating is no longer intact on many specimens. But on the present watch, it is preserved in mint condition.

Dial: absolutely flawless olive green matte dial - original tritium in markers and hands - signed "T SWISS MADE T".

Case: almost unworn - perfectly preserved olive green PVD coating - deep engravings on the back.

Bezel: rotating bezel in perfect condition - rotates in one direction - original tritium in luminous triangle at 12 o'clock.

Movement: automatic Lemania caliber 1345 - rates: rate deviation: -10s/day, amplitude: 261, beat error: 0.3.

Bracelet: Heuer stainless steel bracelet - excellent condition of the olive green PVD coating.

Summing-Up
On the wrist, this rare yachting chronograph offers a unique vintage flair. Its excellent condition adds to its collectability. And the colorful regatta countdown makes the watch simply cool.
