Complicated, rare and overwhelmingly beautiful: this vintage Heuer Carrera Dato from the 1960s is a full calendar chronograph with a delightful reverse panda dial.
The Heuer Carrera 2547N is a super rare reference and is one of the most complicated Heuers ever produced. A quite unusual part is the central hand with its red sickle tip, which points to the blue numbers on the periphery of the dial indicating the date. The day of the week and the month are displayed in German in the small windows at 12 o'clock. The silver-colored sub-dials feature the permanently running seconds at 9 o'clock and the chronograph counters at 3 and 6 o'clock.
This Carrera is powered by the legendary manual-wound movement Valjoux 72C (Valjoux 723), which is housed in a 36mm stainless steel case. The C stands for "Calendar". On the left side of the case there are two setting buttons for the day of the week, month and date. The watch sits very comfortably on the wrist. The black leather strap is fitted with the original Heuer clasp.
