Description
This Omega Speedmaster 105.003-65, also known as "Ed White", is a historic and iconic model within the Speedmaster collection.

The reference 105.003 was introduced in 1964 and produced until around 1969. It was nicknamed "Ed White" in honor of the astronaut Edward H. White, who wore a Speedmaster during the first American spacewalk (extravehicular activity) on June 3, 1965.

This Speedmaster in particular was produced in 1966 and delivered to British military's NAAFI, which is confirmed by the official extract from the Omega archive. NAAFI (short for Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes) is an organisation set up by the British government to operate leisure facilities for the British armed forces and supply soldiers with goods.

The Speedmaster 105.003 is characterised by its straight lugs. It is also equipped with the special "DON" bezel (Dot Over 90). The stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter and, together with the classic three-register dial, offers the popular timeless look of the Moonwatch.

This Speedmaster is powered by the Omega manual-winding caliber 321 - a chronograph movement highly regarded for its precision and reliability. Caliber 321 was also used in the Speedmaster Professional watches worn during the first moon landing in 1969.

In addition to the Omega archive extract, the watch on offer is accompanied by the original red Omega presentation box and the outer box.
