Description
Here we offer a Rolex Daytona 6263 FAP from 1975 - the mother of all chronographs in its military version preserved in exceptional condition.

FAP is the abbreviation for Fuerza Aerea Del Peru. The fact that the Peruvian Air Force equipped its pilots with the Rolex Daytona in the 1970s is primarily due to the robustness and reliability of this chronograph. These extremely rare military examples of the manual-wound Daytona bear the engraving "Fuerza aerea del Peru" on the case back and are particularly coveted by vintage collectors.

Here you can see a wonderfully preserved example from 1975. Regardless of its military history, this Daytona is the sought-after reference 6263 with screw-down pushers and a black bakelite bezel. The sigma dial with its high-contrast reverse panda layout is not only attractive but also in perfect condition.

This watch is of course powered by the manual-wound Valjoux 72 caliber: a reliable movement with a status of a legend.

Summing-Up
This 50 years old vintage military chronograph is preserved in TOP condition. This combination alone is something special and rare, as most military watches were subject to intensive use. Add to this the fact that the manual-wind Daytona is one of the most sought-after vintage collectors' watches in the world. The high value and special nature of this Rolex Daytona 6263 should be obvious.
