This automatic Heuer Carrera from the 1970s is an iconic motorsport chronograph and an ideal vintage wristwatch for everyday wear. It is a fantastic opportunity for any vintage watch collector, classic car fan and especially motorsport enthusiasts whose watch collection is still missing a Heuer Carrera.

Of course, the timepiece owes its collectability to its movement. Caliber 11 is one of the first automatic chronograph movements in the history of watchmaking. This Carrera is powered by the improved successor to caliber 11, caliber 12. The reference 1153S was produced in a short period between 1969 and 1974 and is accordingly rare.

And of course, the Heuer Carrera is a legendary racing chronograph designed for racing drivers and sports car enthusiasts, which is why it is so coveted by all motorsport fans.

We love the high-contrast look of this Carrera. This is ensured not only by the gray sub-registers and the tachymeter scale on the silver-colored dial, but also by the wide hour markers with black inlays and the orange chrono hand. The date at 6 o'clock rounds off the symmetry of the dial and creates the classic, stylish and understated Carrera look. In our opinion, the automatic Carrera is one of the best vintage watches for everyday wear. Its 38mm cushion case hugs the wrist, is lightweight and very comfortable to wear. This watch is also accompanied by an original Heuer clasp.

Dial: immaculate silver-colored dial - perfect original sunburst finish - immaculate gray sub-dials - original tritium lume in hands and markers - signed "Heuer Carrera", "Automatic Chronograph" and "SWISS".

Case: stainless steel case in very good condition - slight signs of wear and storage - visible reference 1153 and the serial number 287xxx between the lugs - original fluted chrono pushers - original signed Heuer crown.

Movement: automatic Heuer caliber 12 - values on the timegrapher: rate: +14s/day, beat error: 0.3 ms, amplitude: 235 degrees.
