This automatic Heuer Carrera from 1969 is a rare and highly collectible racing chronograph.

This example is in excellent condition and comes with the original 1969 Gay-Frères steel bracelet. This early version is extremely rare, as this was the first year that automatic chronograph technology was introduced, and it was initially used primarily in the so-called "Chronomatic" models with steel bracelets - a fine detail that is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.

Inside is the legendary caliber 11, the first automatic chronograph movement to be produced in series, a milestone in the history of watchmaking.

This extraordinary ensemble is rounded off by an original Heuer brochure with the watch's specifications - a charming contemporary document that once again impressively underscores the authenticity and historical depth of this Carrera.

Visually, the Carrera has a dynamic, high-contrast look: the gray sub-dials stand out clearly from the silver-colored main dial, which is framed by a tachymeter scale. Wide hour markers with black inlays and a striking orange chrono hand add a sporty touch, while the date window at 6 o'clock maintains the harmonious symmetry of the design.

With its 38 mm case, the watch is pleasantly light to wear and sits comfortably on the wrist. In our opinion, this automatic Carrera is one of the best vintage chronographs for everyday use - a perfect combination of technology, history and timeless aesthetics.

Dial: perfectly preserved - original tritium luminous material in hands and markers - signed "Carrera Heuer Automatic Chronograph Swiss".

Case: greatly preserved case - unpolished with slight signs of wear - intact numbers between the lugs - correct fluted pushers - original Heuer crown.

Movement: automaitk caliber 11 - values on the timegrapher: rate: -3s/day, amplitude: 271, beat error: 1.3. All functions run perfectly.

Bracelet: stainless steel Gay Frères bracelet in excellent condition - natural signs of wear on the folding clasp - 3/69 inside the clasp - length adjustable between approx. 17 and 19 cm.
